One long day

The day started out with me driving two hours home from Jersey.  I got home by 10 am and ran up to my apartment and grabbed some stuff and headed over to school.  I stayed at school talking to people as well as trying to get my classroom set up until about 2:30pm.  I drive home and met my friend, Roni for a late lunch at 3:30pm.  We hung out and talked and then called one of her friends who lives a block away from me, who would have thought?  At 6:30pm we left because her friend had a doctors appointment but would be home by 7:30pm so we would get together later.  So Roni and I decide to go to my parents house to drop off a few books I picked up over the weekend.  Only to find out that I had a flat tire.  Ugh, I have no luck with tires lately.  I call AAA and they say someone will be there within an hour.  A car full of guys pull up and offer to help, but unfortunately, they ended up not being much help at all.  It was pretty funny though.  First a car full of about 4 guys show up and then two more cars of their friends stop by. It’s like we were having a party of something.  Unfortunately, no one was able to help and I ended up waiting an hour and a half for AAA.  Since they lied to me about the time.  The AAA guy said it’s because he’s the only driver or something.  So finally, I got my donut up on the car and all is well, I found a parking spot and everything.  So tomorrow my dad will take me to get my tire fixed.  I think it’s Roni’s fault because she has bad luck, so maybe I got some of her bad luck. 

Anyway. we ended up getting back together with Roni’s friend and her friends boyfriend and we went to dinner and had a couple of drinks.  I think I made a new friend.  A new friend that lives a block away. That will be nice. 

Oh, and I also called Loriann who I’ve known since kindergarten, but haven’t spoken to in like forever.  I asked her if I could stop by with a present that I made for her baby.  So I’ll be stopping over at her apartment on Wednesday around 2ish.  I would say all in all, it was quite a productive day. 

Tomorrow I will be heading back to school to try to get more work done in my classroom.  I hope to not have to go in on Wednesday, but I have a feeling that I will be.  I have to work hard tomorrow and stay focused and not talk to everyone as much.
