I survived

Do I really have to go back to work tomorrow?  I feel so drained from today.  I was probably crazy teacher today.  I was hot, stressed, tired, and feeling like I didn’t have enough time.  So I rushed threw stuff to make sure I got to everything, which I did. 

My class seems okay.  It’s hard to tell the first day because they are scared and not sure what to expect. In another week I’ll see what it will really be like.  The major problem I’m going to have is making them work faster.  They are so slow, and that will have to stop.  I have a few poor readers which sucks, but I will deal with it, being as I have no choice. 

The highlight of my day was at about 10am.  Yep, just an hour and 20 minutes into the regular day.  A student was walking back to her seat from the carpet and stops, turns to me with a huge smile on her face and says, “I can’t wait to go home and tell my mom all about my day, and all about you.” Yep, I think I won her over. 

It was a pretty successful day, I mean, it has to be, when not one of my students cried today.  Got to love that!
