Boston here I am

I’m on vacation.  Yesterday, I headed over to Newport RI before heading to Boston.  We had planned to go see a ghost tour at Belcourt castle and do a regular tour, but as it turned out the ghost tour was canceled and the last tour was at 3pm because of a function they were having.  We got there at about 3:15 or so.  So we headed to the marble mansion.  They only had an audio tour, but it was very informative and you were able to skip any part you weren’t interested in learning about.  After we walked outside and looked out into the water.  It was very pretty.  It was still nice outside and there was so much to see in Newport, that we decided to take a walk around the town and looked at the little shops and had dinner in Newport before heading back into the car to go to Boston.  When we got settled into the hotel, I decided I wanted a snack and of course the vending machine was not working.  (it’s working, now, but I don’t want a snack). 

We planned our day today so we would be able to sleep a little later.  We had tickets to go see Blue Man Group at Charles Playhouse at 2pm.  So we left the hotel at about 11:30 this morning and took the hotel shuttle to the T train and we found the place and stopped for chinese food before going to the show.  (we also found out Michael Buble is following me and is playing in Boston tonight.) Blue Man Group was a lot of fun, but I was worried about what would happen next.  After we walked to Boston Common and went for a ride on the swan boats and walked around the beautiful park.  We walked around the area some more before stopping at a restaurant on Newbury Street.  It was a full and complete day.  We took the T and shuttle back to the hotel and now we have to plan our day out for tomorrow. 

I think we may go see a replica of the inside of Cheers and go on the duck tours.  We have to see if we can get tickets. 

I love Boston!
